Do sustainability primers help with engaging employees and suppliers?
When working to get employees or external partners, such as suppliers, engaged in your organization’s sustainability strategy, it can be a challenge to get everyone on the same page about what “sustainability” really means. One potential solution to make “the definitions conversation” less dry would be to use some of the multimedia primers publicly available on the web. For example, I find the brief videos below that explain sustainability interesting and helpful. I’m curious, however, if they are useful for engaging employees who are not already interested in sustainability.
Have you tried sharing these or similar primers with colleagues or external partners, either informally or formally, such as during a training? If so, how did it go? Did it help get everyone on the same page? Did it have any effect on people who were previously disinterested or perhaps even a little antagonistic to engaging your sustainability initiatives? Please share your experience in the comments.
