Purpose

The Chief Procurement Officers (CPO) Roundtable supports senior procurement leaders in implementing strategic sustainable purchasing programs, producing sustainable procurement thought leadership, and in promoting the widespread adoption of sustainable procurement best practices.

Participation

The CPO Roundtable hosts quarterly conference calls and an in-person meeting during SPLC’s annual Summit, which usually takes place in May. Additionally, the Roundtable has its own listserve which allows participants to engage with their Roundtable peers on-demand. During SPLC’s Summits, Roundtable participants will be invited to a workshop and meal held exclusively for senior procurement leaders.

CPOs of Purchaser Role members are invited to join the CPO Roundtable, by virtue of being a member. To opt-in, please contact lisa@sustainablepurchasing.org.

Activities

Roundtable members:

  • participate in a peer-to-peer CPO community of practice focused on sustainability
  • work with the Council’s professional development and event staff to coordinate workshops, sessions, tracks, meetings and webinars that will engage and serve CPOs
  • advise the Council’s staff and leadership on how to deliver tools and resources that meet the unique needs of CPOs
  • help represent the Council in spaces where CPOs congregate
  • assist Council staff in recruiting CPO support for the mission and vision of the Council, including recruiting new members

Eligibility

Chief Procurement Officers at any Purchaser Role member organization are invited to join the CPO Roundtable. CPOs should email Member Services Coordinator, Lisa Shusko, to be added to the invite list for Roundtable conference calls and meetings: lisa@sustainablepurchasing.org
