IN THIS ISSUE:

LETTER FROM THE CEO

I know I speak for all of us when I say that we have never quite faced a challenge like the Covid-19 public health crisis. A crisis shows us what we are made of, as we call upon our own strength combined with the collective strength of the country to work through this with courage, patience, determination, and discipline. We are all a product of our own experiences, and all share a feeling of uncertainty. Yet we have more moments of hope and awe as we witness the heroism of our fellow Americans, the resilience of the human spirit, and the ingenuity and good corporate citizenship of our businesses. Broadway going dark was a pivotal point in this crisis but right now I am happy to say…Our Show Will Go On.

We are excited to bring the 2020 Summit to a full virtual experience and we are in awe at the sophistication of options and collaboration that we have never seen before!

I look forward to virtually connecting with each of you on May 18th as we kick off our virtual 2020 Summit. I hope that you and your loved ones stay safe during this crisis.

Sincerely,

Donna Westerman, CEO

Dynamic & Engaging SPLC Virtual 2020 Summit is coming to you!

In our new world of social distancing while also staying connected - SPLC is bringing our 2020 Summit directly to your home office! The SPLC is excited to offer this first-ever, fully online, virtual Summit -- giving attendees the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and share conversations and experiences as a community during this time of separation.

The virtual 2020 Summit will enable attendees to access more than 24 hours of total live programming across three days, May 18 – 20, and will allow unlimited on-demand access for up to a year – to catch a presentation you missed, download additional resources, and hear the inspiring keynotes again! Our program includes procurement and sustainability keynote speakers on the “main stage”, 20+ concurrent practitioner breakout sessions, and multiple Innovation Accelerator Roundtables and “hands on” workshops. (See below for news on Connect 2020, SPLC’s buyer-supplier matchmaker event.)

Since the platform allows attendees to move between multiple 3D spaces, we’ve also built in opportunities to explore sustainable products and services in the interactive Summit Exhibit Hall, visit small group “rooms” to explore additional presentations and resources. Finally, we intend to hold a “reception” in which attendees can visit and socialize through live video streaming to engage in the networking, mutual support and social interactions so beloved by regular Summit-goers!

2020 Connect, sponsored by Davies Office and
PG & E, Moves to Later in 2020

SPLC Connect is a sustainability-focused matchmaking event at which attendees hold one-to-one buyer-supplier meetings, and engage in roundtable discussions about the changing landscape of sustainability and procurement. The Connect introduces purchasers to innovative suppliers who offer products and services to help them achieve their sustainability goals, and helps suppliers promote their offerings and learn more about purchaser needs.

As we develop our virtual event offerings, we plan to offer participants from anywhere in the world the ability to book appointments and engage in one-on-one meetings at this year’s Connect. And we intend to include our full-featured Connect experience, including discussions, meetings, and more! Accordingly, we plan a full day virtual 2020 Connect event in summer. In this way, SPLC will build our virtual experience to ensure that the event meaningfully connects purchasers and suppliers around the globe.
As a standalone event, Connect 2020 has greater capacity to include many more organizations and individuals in this dedicated forum, with no need to travel, and no conflict with our virtual Summit sessions. In addition our virtual 2020 Connect will remain open for participants to contact other registrants, and set up meetings via live video chat, for up to a year! We are offering special pricing for the SPLC virtual 2020 Connect - $50 off all base prices when you purchase a Full Pass to the virtual 2020 Summit! Visit our 2020 Connect website for more information.
