IN THIS ISSUE:

LETTER FROM THE CEO

As we enter the second decade of the 21st century, sustainability initiatives are increasingly focused on the global impact — on climate, on worker well-being, on communities, on the environment — of the extended supply chains that produce and deliver the products and services we all depend on.

Procurement and contracting are at the heart of these complex systems — offering leverage all along the value chain to reduce harm, and support positive impacts for community, environmental and economic health. Purchaser, NGO and supplier innovation and collaboration are critical to drive change at scale across these massive chains. The purchasing community needs more than ever to converge around core purchasing strategies, and communicate those clearly to every level of supplier, in order to address the massive issues that face the world.
Join the SPLC this year — on a webinar, in a workshop, at the 2020 Summit, as a member of our vibrant SPLC Community — to accelerate the pace of change in your organization and in the world by collectively building the path to the world we want to live in.
