Leadership Awards

At the 2015 Summit, the Council will present the inaugural recipients of its Leadership Awards program.

Applications should be submitted by May 12th (NEW EXTENDED DEADLINE) in order to be considered for the juried Leadership Awards. Download the Application & Instructions

Outstanding Case Study AwardsRecognizes all Purchasers, Suppliers and Public Interest Advocates that submit high quality case studies. Organizations may submit multiple case studies, including case studies previously produced for other purposes.
Purchaser Leadership Award
– Overall Program
Recognizes a Purchaser Role member* organization whose sustainable purchasing program exemplifies the qualities defined in SPLC’s Principles for Leadership in Sustainable Purchasing.
Purchaser Leadership Award
– Special Initiative
Recognizes a Purchaser Role member* for exceptional leadership, as demonstrated by actions taken to meaningfully improve the environmental, social, and economic performance in one or more aspects its purchasing. This could be a specific purchasing category strategy, supplier engagement strategy, or something else.
Supplier Leadership AwardRecognizes a Supplier Role member* whose actions have enabled institutional purchasers to better understand and take responsibility for the consequences of their spending.
Public Interest Advocate AwardRecognizes a Public Interest Advocate Role member* whose actions have enabled institutional purchasers to better understand and take responsibility for the consequences of their spending.
* Membership in SPLC is not a requirement for submitting a case study or receiving an “Outstanding Case Study Award”. Membership is an eligibility requirement for the “Leadership Awards”.
