Beth Eckl

Director, Environmental Purchasing Program

Beth Eckl has been the Director of the Environmental Purchasing Program for Practice Greenhealth for seven years providing technical support, consulting services and training on environmental purchasing for health care organizations. Beth brings over 20 years of environmental purchasing experience combining an in depth knowledge of environmental attributes of products and services in health care and government agencies with a track record of success expanding programs. As principal and sole proprietor of EPE Consulting, she evaluated and prepared environmental purchasing specifications for municipalities. She has been a stakeholder in standards development processes. As Program Manager in the Purchasing Department with the Alameda County General Services Agency (Oakland, CA), her environmental purchasing program was nationally recognized by the U.S. Conference of Mayors. She has a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, which focused on energy, environmental science and policy, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
