Kathy Davey

Kathy Davey is an attorney and a senior environmental and sustainability professional in EPA’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention. She leads various pollution prevention measurement efforts and co-designed three Agency calculator tools, one for greenhouse gas savings, one for sustainability cost savings, and one in testing for hazardous pollution and material reductions. She co-designed a web database for transparent national reporting of certain sustainability outcomes and wrote the user manual. She co-wrote a regulatory solution promulgated in 2015 for sustainable materials management in the chemical industry. She has also promoted the integration of existing Agency tools, the Green Engineering Materials Management tool and the GREENSCOPE tool to quantify environmental and health impacts from chemical processes, material management approaches and end-of-life strategies.
