Willie Cade is President and CEO of PC Rebuilders & Recyclers (PCRR) home of the Computers for Schools program that helps to close the digital divide. PCRR provides refurbished computers for schools, non-profits and at risk students. They were one of the first Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher in the United States. PCRR uses used computers that have been refurbished to meet high quality standards and carry a 3 year warranty. Willie has provided expert testimony to the House Committee on Science and Technology. He is the publisher of www.eWasteCalendar.com a site to coordinate e-waste collection in the United States. He was a “Responsible Recycling” or R2 stakeholder. He is the Co-Chair of the Environmentally Sound Refurbishment/Repair of Used Computing Equipment for the Partnership for Action on Computing Equipment of the Secretariat of the Basel Convention of the United Nations Environmental Program. He is also the Chairman of the Industrial Advisory Group for the Illinois Sustainable Technology Center’s Sustainable Electronics Initiative. Before founding PCRR, Willie had a management consulting firm whose clients included Booz Allen Hamilton, Toys “R” Us and many other corporations throughout the United States.
