Enterprise Footprint Analysis: A User Experience
Presenters: Matthew Swibel and Craig Cammarata
As many organizations face increased pressure to credibly identify sustainability opportunities and risks across its value chain, data based decision-making remains an elusive outcome. Toward that end, we will share how we have pursued an analytical perspective to generate a virtuous circle which embed sustainability into the core business objectives of other areas of the enterprise and foster the following dynamic: Insights and improvements relevant to core business, which leads to greater willingness to generate and share better data, which leads to better data and analyses, which leads to more insights relevant to core business, which leads to increased willingness to intensify collaboration.

Spend Stories: the City of Portland’s Experience Quantifying Supply Chain Impacts
Presenter: Stacey Foreman
In 2016, the City of Portland, Oregon completed an analysis of the environmental impacts of its supply chain. Working with Trucost, the City quantified emissions and resource use associated with one year of spend using Trucost’s economic input-output LCA based model and associated environmental impact databases. The analysis included several environmental impact areas (GHG, energy use, water, waste, toxics). Not only will this presentation provide an overview of the analysis and results, but also some key insights and lessons learned.
