Ilyssa O. Gordon is a gastrointestinal pathologist at the Cleveland Clinic. As founder and co-chair of the Cleveland Clinic Greening the Labs Committee, Dr. Gordon facilitates and implements programs related to laboratory recycling, biohazardous waste reduction, and energy conservation. In June 2015, she was appointed Medical Director for Sustainability in the Robert J. Tomsich Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Institute. She has developed an online course for internal education on laboratory recycling and has mentored pathology residents on Greening the Labs projects presented at national conferences. Dr. Gordon is dedicated to making environmental stewardship a reality in the hospital laboratory setting.
