Mark Buckley

Vice President, Environmental Affairs

Mark Buckley is VP of Environmental Affairs at Staples, a global retailer, e-commerce and commercial product and services supplier to businesses and consumers. A 27 year associate, Mark has led Staples global sustainability programs in his current role for the past 15 years and was previously VP Facilities and Procurement. Programs include improving efficiency and reducing environmental impacts in the built environment and throughout Staples supply chain. He oversees the Staples Sustainable Innovation Lab housed in the Golisano Institute for Sustainability at the Rochester Institute of Technology. The lab conducts publicly available research including , but not limited to, circular systems within the built environment and sustainable materials management. Mark is an active industry member in the REMADE institute. He is a member of the Product Stewardship Institute Advisory Board. Mark is a speaker on topics including sustainable materials management, recycling, and renewable energy. He holds a BA in Biology.
