Stephen Bernard is a sustainability professional and environmental engineer with over twenty-five years of experience in telecommunications and aerospace. Currently, he is a Senior Sustainability Manager in Global Supply Chain at AT&T, where he is responsible for developing, implementing and managing new policies and programs that build sustainable business practices into supply chain operations. He contributes thought leadership and key communications on sustainable business practices throughout the supply chain team, across business partners and out to suppliers. He leads the QuEST Forum ICT industry sustainability initiative, AT&T’s work with CDP Supply Chain, and supplier engagement with the global sourcing team.
Previously at AT&T, Stephen negotiated national contract agreements for environmental, backup power and emergency services. He also worked within the environmental, health and safety programs at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) and Lockheed Martin Astronautics, where he inspected Air National Guard bases, managed environmental compliance programs, and prepared emergency response plans for Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Air Force.
Stephen holds a Master of Environmental Policy and Management from the University of Denver and an MBA – Managing for Sustainability from the University of Colorado Denver Business School. He also holds a B.A. in Biological Sciences and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado.
