James Lewis leads Schneider Electric’s work in markets outside of the United States. James facilitates corporate PPAs in mature renewable energy markets, such as India and Mexico and also works with our clients to evaluate opportunities in emerging markets around the world.
In early 2017, Schneider Electric acquired Renewable Choice Energy and the combined group has helped its corporate clients transact over 2.5 GW of corporate PPAs in the US, Mexico, and India. James assists clients in Europe, Australia and China as those regions become increasingly attractive renewable energy markets. James has helped many organizations, including Hilton, Microsoft, UEFA, and WWF to achieve their sustainability objectives in countries around the world.
James has over 12 years of experience in sustainability with a background in sales, marketing, consulting, and research. Prior to Schneider Electric and Renewable Choice he was based in Sydney with Climate Friendly, a provider of renewable energy and carbon solutions and a member of the South Pole Group, and he previously worked with the Institute for Sustainable Futures at the University of Technology, Sydney.
Currently based in Boulder, Colorado, James has lived and worked in the UK, US, Australia, and France, and is a citizen of both the UK and Australia. He has a Masters of Environmental Technology from Imperial College, London and a BA (Hons) in Geography and Management Studies from the University of Leeds.
