Director of Supplier Diversity and Sustainability, Pacific Gas & Electric Company
Joan Namahana Kerr is the Director of Supplier Diversity and Sustainability at Pacific Gas & Electric Company. Ms. Kerr brings to PG&E 24 years of leadership experience in the utility industry. Under her leadership, PG&E has more than doubled its annual spend with diverse business enterprises, to more than $2 billion. Previously, she worked at AT&T (formerly Pacific Bell and SBC). There, she served as Executive Director of Supplier Diversity Programs, where she led the creation of a best-in-class program.
Ms. Kerr is a former Board Member of the National Minority Supplier Development Council, the Northern California Minority Supplier Development Council, the National Utilities Diversity Council and the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, where she served as Chair of the Board of Directors. She is Chairperson of the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) Supplier Diversity Group, Chairperson of the California Procurement Committee and Treasurer of WeConnect International.
Ms. Kerr is a three-time winner of NMSDC’s Minority Supplier Development Leader of the Year award.
