Formerly Director Sustainability & Responsible Sourcing, Hilton
As the former Director of Sustainability and Responsible Sourcing for Hilton, Judy Pines drove a global sustainable procurement strategy to ensure Hilton Supply Management, Hilton’s procurement division, was strategically aligned with corporate sustainability goals and objectives.
She leveraged supplier partnerships in the development and implementation of sustainability and recycling programs that enabled Hilton properties to divert waste from landfills and reduce water and energy usage.
Ms. Pines led Hilton’s Responsible Sourcing Advisory Group that ensured the global alignment of responsible business objectives across the Americas/EMEA/APAC regions. She is a member of the ISM Sustainability and Social Responsibility Committee, the NEWH Sustainability Committee, and serves on the ISM-NVA Board of Directors as Trustee.
Ms. Pines holds a BA in Art from California State University Northridge and is certified by the Institute for Supply Management as a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) and Accredited Purchasing Practitioner (APP).
Training programs on responsible sourcing and sustainable purchasing for buyers can help to increase awareness, visibility, and inspire buyers to think about how responsible sourcing and sustainable purchasing impacts daily operations and procurement activities.
