Mark has spent more than 20 years examining the life cycle impacts of products and services and ways to practically reduce them. On the demand side, he has worked to implement sustainable procurement and operations with local, state and federal purchasers, K-12 schools, higher education, healthcare, green building programs, foodservice, sports venues, and hospitality. He served on the Technical Advisory Committee for SPLC and the Governance Committee for the EPA Pilot to evaluate Product Environmental Performance Standards and Ecolabels for Voluntary Use in Federal Procurement. Previously he directed Green Seal’s Certification Program and most recently served as SVP of Outreach and Strategic Relations, where he led engagement with purchasers, industry groups, trade associations and other external organizations. Mark holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering and a M.S. in civil and environmental engineering from The George Washington University.
