Delivering on the SDGs: Procurement’s Role

Haiwatha 3

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a powerful aspiration for improving our world – and nearly all of them have some connection to procurement and supply chain management. This panel will explore how procurement professionals can meaningfully connect their work on sustainable purchasing to the 17 goals and 169 targets to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda. We will hear perspectives from national governments, international organizations, and large multi-national companies on how they are using the growing momentum behind sustainable purchasing to contribute to reaching the SDGs, report on their progress, and share some of the inside stories and strategies for undertaking this important work.
