Developing a Multi-Dimensional Renewable Energy Sourcing Strategy

Hiawatha 1

As renewable energy costs continue to fall, large energy users, such as corporations and universities, are barraged with pitches from a growing variety of providers: onsite solar, community solar, and remote net metering, to name just a few. In this session, participants will learn how organizations untangled the web of options and developed multi-dimensional approaches to sourcing renewable energy.

This session will give case studies from large organizations in buying green power, including the University of Minnesota, who installed over 2 Megawatts of solar on its main campus, and contracted for over 25 MW of community solar, and is now assembling a consortium of energy buyers to assess large-scale offsite renewable energy sourcing opportunities.
