Developing a Sustainable Purchasing Policy for Your Organization

Hiawatha 1

Policies are an important tool for institutionalizing sustainable purchasing programs, but they come with challenges. For example, they can require significant time and energy to develop, end up under-implemented, and be difficult to keep up to date. In this session, SPLC will present its guidance for sustainable purchasing policy development. Then the audience will hear stories from organizations that have developed policies for their sustainable purchasing programs.

This session will be moderated by Jason Pearson, Chair of the Board of the SPLC.
