This session will provide foundational, practical information on how to craft and implement specifications for more sustainable products and services, with a focus on navigating the most practical specification tools: environmental product standards and ecolabels. Attendees will learn about all the different pieces and players involved in environmental product certifications, what makes a credible ecolabel, steps to take in drafting specifications, what to do when there are no relevant standards, ecolabels or certifications, and tools and resources to help make sustainable procurement implementation easier.
