Climate Foundations for Procurement
Greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) are the largest contributor to climate change. According to CDP, the emissions from supply chains are on average 26 times greater than a corporation’s own operational emissions.
SPLC's Climate Foundations for Procurement equips procurement, supply chain, and sustainability professionals with the cutting-edge knowledge, tools, and strategies to drive significant greenhouse gas reductions. Climate Foundations is a comprehensive virtual training and coaching program specifically designed for professionals focused on addressing the decarbonization of their organization's spend.
2025 Climate Foundations (Compact Edition)
Once again in 2025, SPLC is pleased to offer a shortened version of our signature Climate Foundations program - Compact Edition - for professionals needing to quickly come up to speed on the basics and take action on climate issues in their supply chains. This cohort will take place in weekly virtual sessions beginning September 30, and running through November 18.

Building on over a decade of sustainable procurement experience, SPLC provides an action-based approach to addressing Scope 3 supply chain greenhouse gas emissions by offering “tried and true” strategic guidance to participants, focusing on high-impact categories and suppliers. To address critical climate challenges, we collaborate with renowned organizations such as the World Resources Institute, CDP, and the Carbon Containment Lab to provide expert insights on GHG accounting, policy landscaping, supplier reporting and engagement, and carbon offset evaluation while helping organizations build a strategic climate plan.
Climate Foundation for Procurement participants will be given a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the program (CEU credits available via ISM).
