Procurement is on the frontline of your organization's climate strategy. Are you ready?
SPLC's Climate Foundations coaching course equips procurement, supply chain, and sustainability professionals with the knowledge, tools, and strategic approach they need to develop and reach meaningful greenhouse gas reduction goals.
Every procurement team needs to grasp the basics of greenhouse gas accounting and reduction strategy, and build effective programs to drive and support meaningful supply chain emissions reductions. That’s where Climate Foundations comes in. Climate Foundations is a comprehensive virtual training and coaching program specifically designed for professionals focused on addressing the climate impact of their organization's spend — providing basic climate knowledge, tools, and strategic insights to move organizations forward.
The Climate Foundations program is led by a team of experienced sustainable procurement practitioners and invited climate experts. SPLC brings our own long experience with strategic sustainable procurement to support participants in prioritizing and strategizing action on highly relevant categories and suppliers. And for orientation to critical climate topics - greenhouse gas accounting methodology, supplier reporting and engagement, and evaluation of carbon offsets - we partner with leaders in climate strategy, including the World Resources Institute, CDP, and Yale University's Carbon Containment Lab.
"Net-Zero GHG emissions in procurement is a major issue for large European companies, and experts here positively recognize SPLC's approach. Thank you very much for all the targets you helped me to reach." - Eric Chapelle, Senior Global Procurement Project Manager at Groupe ADP
Relevant Tool Demos (optional):
“ I would recommend SPLC’s Climate Foundation program to anybody who wants to get a jump on implementing a successful supplier GHG emissions reduction program.” - Andrew Baer, Head of Procurement Sustainability and Diversity (S&P Global)
"The wide scope of the program, which included foundational procurement-focused climate training and peer collaboration helped to build practical knowledge that we've been able to apply directly to our own organization." - Elke Kite, University of Victoria
