Professional Bio

Robert Stumberg is a professor of law at Georgetown University Law Center, where he directs the Harrison Institute for Public Law. The Institute is a teaching and service program that works with public officials and nonprofits in the areas of climate change, democracy and trade, health justice, and human rights. His current research and writing center on the human rights of workers in global supply chains, particularly those of government and institutional purchasers. He has worked closely with the Sweatfree Purchasing Consortium, Electronics Watch, the International Corporate Accountability Roundtable (ICAR), the International Learning Lab on Procurement and Human Rights, and most recently, the United 2026 campaign for human rights in the FIFA World Cup. His education includes: BA, Macalester College; JD, Georgetown University; LLM Georgetown University.
