Professional Bio
Danielle Van Vleet is the Assistant Director of Supply Chain Programs at Arizona State University, where she leads a diverse portfolio of strategic initiatives that advance the university’s mission and values. Her areas of responsibility include the Sustainable Sourcing, Supplier Performance Program, Federal Procurement Programs, P-Card Programs, and Supplier Inclusion.
In her role, Danielle drives strategies that embed sustainability and responsible practices across ASU’s supply chain. She leads efforts to research market capabilities, assess supplier performance, and apply best practices that align sourcing decisions with the university’s sustainability goals. By collaborating with internal partners and external suppliers, she ensures that sustainability is a core component of supplier deliverables and performance outcomes. ASU is a founding member organization of SPLC, and Danielle has been an active member of SPLC for over five years; engaged in advancing sustainable procurement across higher education and public procurement.
Beyond her work at ASU, Danielle serves on the boards of WBEC-West and PSWMSDC and is the co-founder and lead of the Higher Education Supplier Engagement Forum (HESEF), a collaborative of 15+ universities sharing best practices in supplier development and engagement.
Danielle holds an MBA from ASU’s W. P. Carey School of Business, with concentrations in Leadership, Supply Chain, and Data Analytics, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
