Women have unique strengths and abilities that position them well as leaders in the realm of sustainable procurement. In this webinar we will delve into the inherent qualities that make women well-suited for leadership roles within sustainable procurement, and how these attributes contribute to successful stakeholder engagement. Through insightful discussions and real-world examples, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the pivotal role that women play in driving positive change through sustainable procurement practices.

I. Javette Hines, Director, Global Head of Supply Chain Development, Inclusion and Sustainability, Citi

I Javette Hines

IlLonka (Javette) Hines is Director, SC Supplier Senior Group Manager and Global Head of Supply Chain Development, Inclusion and Sustainability at Citi. Javette leads Citi’s efforts to ensure the consideration and inclusion of diverse firms within Citi’s sourcing practice. She works across the firm to align supplier selection efforts a global strategy to continue to spend $1B with diverse suppliers globally, support capacity and supplier development, and create awareness and understanding of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) matters. In 2023, Citi was inducted into the Billion Dollar Roundtable (BDR).

Javette has over 25 years of experience in supply chain management, operations, leadership, diversity, and management, including 11 years at International Business Machines (IBM). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education from Clark Atlanta University, a Juris Doctor from the Wake Forest University School of Law and holds a certificate as a Certified Professional Supplier Diversity (CPSD) from the Institute of Supply Management. Additionally, she earned a certificate in Human Rights from the Leitner Center for International Law and Justice, a certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from eCornell, as well as a certificate in Leading Effective Decision Making from the Yale School of Management and a certificate in Leading with Data and Analytics from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Executive Education. Javette is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Georgia Bar Association and in 2023 was sworn in as a member of the bar, Supreme Court of the United States. She is a sought after speaker and was included in Supply Chain Digital Magazine’s Top 100 Women in Supply Chain 2024.

Javette also serves on the Law Board of Visitors (LBOV) of Wake Forest University School of Law.


Judy Panayos, Secretary, SPLC Board of Directors

Judy PanayosJudy Panayos has a rich background in multiple sectors and brings a pragmatic approach to achieving lasting impact.  She currently has her own company, ZamPan, focused on embedding sustainability strategy into organizations.

Judy cut her teeth with a 13 year career in performing arts management, including multi-stakeholder urban renewal projects. After gaining her MBA at Rutgers University, Judy spent 11 years in medical device manufacturing at Becton Dickinson where she was responsible for various supplier programs including Sustainable Procurement, Supplier Diversity, Supplier Risk, Supplier Quality Management, and Supplier Recognition. 

Most recently, Judy spent 7 years at Sodexo in two key sustainability roles. As Group VP of Climate Ambition, Judy led the creation of action plans for Sodexo’s Net Zero 2040 commitment globally as well as embedding climate action in client solutions.  As head of Responsible Sourcing for North America, Judy worked to ensure corporate responsibility was part of sourcing strategies, including the carbon footprint of our supply chain.  

Along the way, Judy has been involved in a variety of multi-stakeholder solutions and boards, including board roles with Single Use Materials Decelerator and Global Sustainable Seafood Initiative.  Judy currently serves on the board of directors for Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council, including a 4 year stint as Chair.

In addition to her MBA from Rutgers, Judy also has a CSR certificate from Rutgers and a BFA from New York University.

Katie Saha, SPLC Senior Manager of Learning and Partner Engagement 

Katie SahaKatie Saha works directly with SPLC members and external organizations to develop and implement strategic sustainable purchasing programs designed to drive market transformation. Prior to joining SPLC, she was a Sustainability Manager for Bristol-Myers Squibb where she oversaw the global strategic sourcing and procurement sustainability program and designed & managed their supplier engagement program. Katie has her Corporate Sustainability certification from New York University and holds a Bachelors of Science degree in International Business from Palm Beach Atlantic University. 

Kristy Pickurel, SPLC Director of Marketing and Communications

Kristy PickurelKristy Pickurel drives SPLC's public image and engagement through strategic branding, marketing campaigns, monthly webinars, and Leadership Awards program. Prior to joining the SPLC she was the Marketing & Events Manager for the FRESH initiative at Clemson University where she developed a marketing strategy and execution plan for Clemson’s annual zero-waste Food, Packaging & Sustainability Summit. She also spent almost 10 years as the Vice President of Development for the Environmental Research & Education Foundation (EREF), an organization whose mission is to fund research for sustainable waste management practices. Kristy serves as Secretary of the Board of the Directors for The LOT Project, a local nonprofit that serves those in need. An honors graduate of Elon University, has more than 25 years of experience in non-profit marketing.
