A Message from SPLC's Board Chair: Looking Ahead - SPLC Continues to Advance Sustainable Procurement
Dear Friends of SPLC,
Sustainable procurement continues to evolve rapidly, creating new opportunities for organizations to drive business value and reduce supply chain risks while advancing environmental, social and economic outcomes. Throughout this, SPLC remains committed to building a sustainable world through the power of procurement.
Our staff and Board of Directors are working closely together to ensure continuity and strengthen member value across our programs, events, resources, and partnerships during this transition.
Looking ahead, SPLC is continuing to invest in the content, connections, and learning opportunities that help procurement professionals lead within their organizations. Through the CHARME, a healthcare sector initiative convened by SPLC, we have released three publications to help leaders reduce emissions from the MedTech supply chain.
In the coming months, we look forward to bringing you:
-
Regional Connects: Join us on August 13 in Chicago or on October 22 in Los Angeles for the 2026 Regional Connect events, practitioner-focused events featuring peer learning, real-world case studies, and meaningful networking opportunities.
-
Webinars: SPLC’s monthly webinar series will return after a brief summer break with sessions on topics such as AI, Human Rights, Business as a Service, and PFAs in furniture.
-
Peer Learning & Community: Stay connected through SPLC’s online Community and Peer Learning Circles, where practitioners exchange ideas, discuss challenges, and explore emerging practices.
-
Content & Training Partnerships: In addition to our current portfolio, we are actively exploring new partnerships that expand access to practical content, professional development, and training opportunities for sustainable procurement leadership.
We are grateful for the support and expertise of our members and partners as we continue to work together to advance responsible supply chains and help organizations navigate opportunities and challenges.
Thank you for being part of this important work.
Sincerely,
Rekha Menon-Varma
